2nd T20I - Result

19.6: Shaheen Afridi to Andrew Tye. Length ball, middle stump on the front foot driving, to deep mid wicket for 2 runs, run save by Zaman, fielded by Malik.

Pakistan have gone 2-0 up in their T20I series against Australia with one match remaining after a tense 11 run victory in Dubai. Sarfraz Ahmed followed a very similar game plan to Wednesday night after winning the toss and electing to bat. Babar Azam and Mohammad Hafeez formed another classy partnership but the men in green never really got away from the Aussies, struggling to find the fence through the middle overs. Faheem Ashraf provided some late fireworks to boost the total, before opening the bowling in partnership with Imad Wasim to great effect. The moment of the night came when Fakhar Zaman pulled off an audacious run out, nailing the stumps direct with a no-look backhanded-flick. Aaron Finch's side meandered along at a sluggish rate until Glenn Maxwell went beserk to give them a slim chance. However, with 23 required from the final over Pakistan were always favourites and young Shaheen Afridi held his composure to seal the win. The series concludes on Sunday evening with Australia looking for a consolation victory.

19.5: OUT! Caught. Shaheen Afridi to Nathan Coulter-Nile. Half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to deep cover, by Ali. Straight to the man in the deep, Coulter-Nile can't be the hero for Australia. He got a decent piece of it but the man was positioned perfectly to gobble it up.

19.4: Shaheen Afridi to Nathan Coulter-Nile. Half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, in the air under control to third man for 2 runs, fielded by Hafeez.

19.3: OUT! Caught. Shaheen Afridi to Glenn Maxwell. Off cutter length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to mid on, by Malik. Finally Pakistan manage to catch Maxwell and with it they have this match in the bag. The right-hander had no choice but to try and smash this to the boundary but it went straight up. Malik had a long time to think about it but the veteran held his nerve to spark wild celebrations.

19.2: Shaheen Afridi to Nathan Coulter-Nile. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot cutting, to extra cover for 1 run, fielded by Ashraf.

19.1: SIX! Shaheen Afridi to Nathan Coulter-Nile. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, well timed in the air under control over long on for 6 runs. Oh my word that's gone miles! Coulter-Nile won't have ever hit one as big as that before. What a time to produce such a sweet strike.

18.6: Hasan Ali to Glenn Maxwell. Slower ball short, outside off stump backing away, Left to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by Ahmed.

18.5: Hasan Ali to Nathan Coulter-Nile. Half volley, off stump on the front foot driving, to extra cover for 1 run, fielded by Ashraf.

18.4: SIX! Hasan Ali to Nathan Coulter-Nile. Slower ball short, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, well timed in the air under control over deep mid wicket for 6 runs. Coulter-Nile is continuing his batting form from Wednesday night. He dispatches this one with disdain to keep the Aussies alive and fighting.

18.3: Hasan Ali to Glenn Maxwell. Back of a length, outside off stump backing away cutting, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to deep point for 1 run, dropped catch by Khan. Fantastic effort in the deep but Shadab can't quite get his fingers underneath it. Would've been an incredible take.

18.2: Hasan Ali to Nathan Coulter-Nile. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, to long on for 1 run, fielded by Zaman.

18.1: Hasan Ali to Glenn Maxwell. Back of a length, outside off stump backing away cutting, to deep cover for 1 run, fielded by Khan.

17.6: Shaheen Afridi to Glenn Maxwell. Slower ball back of a length, outside off stump moves in front working, to mid wicket for 1 run, fielded by Ali. Fifty for Maxi but Australia still need more from him.

17.5: SIX! Shaheen Afridi to Glenn Maxwell. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, well timed in the air under control over long off for 6 runs. In the slot and given the treatment, Maxwell holds the pose for good measure. Outstanding ball striking by the Victorian, he is single-handedly keeping the Aussies in this series.

17.5: Wide Shaheen Afridi to Glenn Maxwell. Back of a length, off stump on the back foot pulling, Play and Miss (Leg Side) to wicketkeeper for 1 run, fielded by Ahmed.

17.5: Wide Shaheen Afridi to Glenn Maxwell. Back of a length, outside off stump moves in front pulling, Play and Miss (Leg Side) to wicketkeeper for 1 run, fielded by Ahmed.

17.4: Shaheen Afridi to Glenn Maxwell. Off cutter short, outside off stump down the track pulling, missed to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by Ahmed.

17.3: Shaheen Afridi to Glenn Maxwell. Back of a length, off stump backing away pulling, missed to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by Ahmed.

17.2: Shaheen Afridi to Nathan Coulter-Nile. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, mis-timed to mid off for 1 run, fielded by Azam.

17.1: Shaheen Afridi to Nathan Coulter-Nile. Off cutter length ball, outside off stump on the front foot Slog, missed to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by Ahmed.

16.6: Hasan Ali to Glenn Maxwell. Slower ball short, outside off stump moves in front pulling, missed to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by Ahmed.

16.5: Hasan Ali to Glenn Maxwell. Length ball, off stump backing away driving, to deep extra cover for 2 runs, mis-fielded by Wasim, fielded by Hafeez.

16.4: FOUR! Hasan Ali to Glenn Maxwell. Leg cutter length ball, outside off stump backing away cutting, well timed past deep extra cover for 4 runs. Brutally slapped into the gap, Pakistan are starting to feel the heat. Can Maxwell pull off something special in Dubai?

16.3: Hasan Ali to Glenn Maxwell. Slower ball short, outside off stump backing away cutting, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to deep cover for 2 runs, dropped catch by Hafeez. Maxwell has been put down again, will Pakistan end up regretting this sloppy fielding? Hafeez the guilty party, this time it was a much easier chance. He had time to set himself but inexplicably can't hold on.

16.2: FOUR! Hasan Ali to Glenn Maxwell. Half volley, outside off stump backing away driving, thick edge past third man for 4 runs. Sliced away, that's not where Maxwell was aiming but he'll certainly take it.

16.1: Hasan Ali to Nathan Coulter-Nile. Full toss, middle stump on the back foot driving, to long on for 1 run, fielded by Azam.

15.6: Shadab Khan to Nathan Coulter-Nile. Leg spinner length ball, outside off stump on the front foot slog sweeping, in the air under control to long on for 1 run, fielded by Malik.

15.5: Shadab Khan to Nathan Coulter-Nile. Leg spinner back of a length, off stump on the back foot driving, to extra cover for no runs, fielded by Ashraf.

15.4: SIX! Shadab Khan to Nathan Coulter-Nile. Googly length ball, off stump on the front foot slog sweeping, well timed in the air under control over deep backward square leg for 6 runs. Coulter-Nile joins the party, spotting the googly and hitting with the spin to clear the fence comfortably. This is a handy over for the Aussies, just what they require.

15.3: Shadab Khan to Glenn Maxwell. Leg spinner length ball, off stump on the front foot slog sweeping, mis-timed to mid on for 1 run, fielded by Malik.

15.2: SIX! Shadab Khan to Glenn Maxwell. Leg spinner back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, well timed in the air under control over deep mid wicket for 6 runs. While Maxwell is still out in the middle Australia remain in with a chance of victory. He has the ability to hit decent balls for six which is exactly what has happened here.

15.1: Shadab Khan to Glenn Maxwell. Leg spinner length ball, outside off stump on the front foot slog sweeping, missed to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by Ahmed.

14.6: Hasan Ali to Nathan Coulter-Nile. Reverse Swing-In half volley, to leg backing away flick, missed to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by Ahmed.

14.5: Hasan Ali to Nathan Coulter-Nile. Reverse Swing-In half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, to extra cover for no runs, fielded by Wasim.

14.4: APPEAL! Verified by umpire after REFERRAL. Hasan Ali to Nathan Coulter-Nile. Reverse Swing-In half volley, outside off stump on the back foot driving, missed to wicketkeeper for no runs, by Ahmed, appeal made for Caught. Huge appeal, Sarfraz is absolutely certain there was an edge on that. He reviews immediately but replays show the noise actually came from the ball clipping the outside of the off stump. Crazy.

14.3: Hasan Ali to Glenn Maxwell. Leg cutter back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, to long on for 1 run, fielded by Azam.

14.2: Hasan Ali to Glenn Maxwell. Slower ball short, outside off stump on the back foot Late Cut, missed to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by Ahmed.

14.1: Hasan Ali to Nathan Coulter-Nile. Length ball, outside off stump on the back foot pushing, to point for 1 run, shy attempt by Khan.

13.6: Shaheen Afridi to Glenn Maxwell. Slower ball back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot driving, to deep cover for 2 runs, fielded by Azam.

13.6: Wide Shaheen Afridi to Glenn Maxwell. Back of a length, off stump on the back foot working, Play and Miss (Leg Side) to wicketkeeper for 1 run, fielded by Ahmed.

13.5: OUT! Run Out. Shaheen Afridi to Ben McDermott. Length ball, off stump on the front foot working, to short mid wicket, direct hit by Zaman. McDermott is run out again by the same fielder as Wednesday night, incredible stuff. This is an amazing piece of fielding, one of the most athletic run outs I've ever seen, Jonty Rhodes would be proud. Fakhar swoops down quickly and releases a back-handed flick without even looking at the target and he's bang on the money.

13.4: Shaheen Afridi to Ben McDermott. Length ball, outside off stump down the track working, to mid wicket for no runs, fielded by Zaman.

13.3: Shaheen Afridi to Glenn Maxwell. Off cutter length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to mid off for 3 runs, dropped catch by Wasim, fielded by Ashraf. A big chance for Pakistan to seal the victory but Imad can't hold on. Maxwell aims something violent over the top but the slower ball deceives him. It was a tough chance but probably should've been taken.

13.2: FOUR! Shaheen Afridi to Glenn Maxwell. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, well timed past fine leg for 4 runs. This looks a bit awkward from Maxwell but it's effective in the end. He gets cramped for room but somehow manages to squeeze this fine.

13.1: Shaheen Afridi to Glenn Maxwell. Slower ball half volley, off stump on the front foot pushing, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to short mid wicket for no runs, fielded by Zaman.

12.6: Mohammad Hafeez to Glenn Maxwell. Off break back of a length, off stump on the back foot working, to deep square leg for 1 run, fielded by Ashraf.

12.5: Mohammad Hafeez to Ben McDermott. Off break length ball, outside off stump on the front foot working, to mid on for 1 run, fielded by Ali.

12.4: Mohammad Hafeez to Ben McDermott. Off break length ball, outside off stump on the front foot sweeping, to fine leg for 2 runs, fielded by Ashraf.

12.3: OUT! Caught. Mohammad Hafeez to Alex Carey. Off break length ball, down leg side on the front foot working, leading edge in the air uncontrolled to short extra cover, by Zaman. Fantastic bowling change by Sarfraz - Hafeez comes into the attack to target the left-hander and it works perfectly. Carey wanted to clip into the vacant mid wicket but some grip off the deck means it pops off the leading edge. Fakhar takes the simplest catch imaginable to leave Pakistan in complete control.

12.2: Mohammad Hafeez to Alex Carey. Off break back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot cutting, mis-timed to short extra cover for no runs, fielded by Zaman.

12.1: Mohammad Hafeez to Alex Carey. Off break back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot defending, to silly mid off for no runs, fielded by Hafeez.

11.6: Shadab Khan to Glenn Maxwell. Leg spinner length ball, off stump on the front foot driving, to short extra cover for no runs, fielded by Zaman.

11.5: Shadab Khan to Alex Carey. Leg spinner length ball, middle stump on the front foot sweeping, Gloved to short fine leg for 1 run.

11.4: OUT! Caught. Shadab Khan to Mitchell Marsh. Leg spinner length ball, off stump on the front foot driving, outside edge to wicketkeeper, by Ahmed. Just as Australia were starting to drag themselves into a decent position Shadab strikes. Marsh was looking to punch through the offside but prodigious turn means the ball just kisses a thin outside edge. Wonderful bowling by the leggie.

11.3: Shadab Khan to Glenn Maxwell. Leg spinner back of a length, middle stump on the back foot working, to mid wicket for 1 run, fielded by Khan.

11.2: Shadab Khan to Glenn Maxwell. Leg spinner length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, to backward point for no runs, fielded by Wasim.

11.1: Shadab Khan to Glenn Maxwell. Leg spinner length ball, off stump on the front foot Steer, to short third man for no runs, fielded by Ali.

10.6: Hasan Ali to Mitchell Marsh. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot driving, missed to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by Ahmed.

10.5: Hasan Ali to Mitchell Marsh. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot pushing, to extra cover for no runs, fielded by Azam.

10.4: Hasan Ali to Glenn Maxwell. Off cutter back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot working, inside edge to gully for 1 run, shy attempt by Khan.

10.3: FOUR! Hasan Ali to Glenn Maxwell. Short, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, well timed past deep mid wicket for 4 runs. Viciously swatted in front of square, Maxwell latched onto that short ball nicely. This partnership is beginning to blossom.

10.2: Hasan Ali to Mitchell Marsh. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, thick edge to third man for 1 run, fielded by Afridi.

10.1: Hasan Ali to Glenn Maxwell. Half volley, off stump on the front foot driving, to long on for 1 run, fielded by Zaman.

9.6: FOUR! Shadab Khan to Mitchell Marsh. Leg spinner back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot cutting, well timed past deep backward point for 4 runs. This is a vital boundary for Australia to release some of the pressure. Shadab drags it down allowing Marsh time to pick his spot and slap it square.

9.5: Shadab Khan to Glenn Maxwell. Leg spinner length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, to deep cover for 1 run, fielded by Ali.

9.4: Shadab Khan to Mitchell Marsh. Leg spinner back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot cutting, to deep cover for 1 run, fielded by Ali.

9.3: Shadab Khan to Mitchell Marsh. Googly length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, to silly mid off for no runs, fielded by Khan.

9.2: Shadab Khan to Glenn Maxwell. Leg spinner length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, to deep cover for 1 run, fielded by Ali.

9.1: Shadab Khan to Mitchell Marsh. Leg spinner back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot cutting, to deep cover for 1 run, fielded by Ali.

8.6: Imad Wasim to Mitchell Marsh. Stock length ball, middle stump on the front foot pushing, to long off for 1 run, fielded by Malik.

The required rate is starting to climb, Australia need to start finding the boundary.

8.5: Imad Wasim to Mitchell Marsh. Stock length ball, outside off stump on the back foot driving, to point for no runs, fielded by Azam.

8.4: Imad Wasim to Glenn Maxwell. Stock ball half volley, to leg on the front foot driving, to mid on for 1 run, fielded by Zaman, fielded by Ali.

8.3: Imad Wasim to Mitchell Marsh. Stock ball half volley, outside off stump on the back foot driving, to deep cover for 1 run, fielded by Hafeez.

8.2: Imad Wasim to Glenn Maxwell. Stock length ball, middle stump on the front foot pushing, to cover for 1 run, shy attempt by Azam.

8.1: Imad Wasim to Mitchell Marsh. Stock ball back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot driving, to deep cover for 1 run, fielded by Hafeez.

7.6: Shaheen Afridi to Mitchell Marsh. Length ball, outside off stump on the back foot pushing, to mid wicket for 1 run, fielded by Wasim.

7.5: Shaheen Afridi to Mitchell Marsh. Slower length ball, outside off stump on the front foot pushing, to extra cover for no runs, shy attempt by Azam.

7.4: Shaheen Afridi to Glenn Maxwell. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot working, hit pad to square leg for 1 run, fielded by Wasim.

7.4: Wide Shaheen Afridi to Glenn Maxwell. Half volley, down leg side on the front foot flick, Play and Miss (Leg Side) to wicketkeeper for 1 run, fielded by Ahmed.

7.3: Shaheen Afridi to Mitchell Marsh. Length ball, down leg side on the front foot working, to short mid wicket for 1 run, shy attempt by Afridi, fielded by Zaman.

7.2: Shaheen Afridi to Glenn Maxwell. Length ball, middle stump on the front foot driving, to mid off for 1 run, fielded by Ashraf.

7.1: Shaheen Afridi to Mitchell Marsh. Length ball, down leg side on the front foot flick, hit pad to short fine leg for 1 run, fielded by Malik.

6.6: Shadab Khan to Mitchell Marsh. Googly back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot driving, to deep point for 1 run, fielded by Hafeez.

6.5: Shadab Khan to Glenn Maxwell. Leg spinner length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, to deep cover for 1 run, fielded by Hafeez.

6.4: Shadab Khan to Mitchell Marsh. Leg spinner half volley, off stump on the front foot pushing, to long off for 1 run, fielded by Malik.

6.3: OUT! Caught. Shadab Khan to Aaron Finch. Leg spinner length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to long on, by Zaman. Taken in the deep, Australia are in complete disarray once again. Finch fancies a big booming drive but he has to stretch for it and the ball turns even further away from him. That means it spoons off the toe-end to spark celebrations from Sarfraz before the simple catch is even taken. Pakistan in complete control in Dubai.

6.2: Shadab Khan to Mitchell Marsh. Top spinning back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot cutting, bottom edge to second slip for 1 run, fielded by Afridi.

6.1: Shadab Khan to Mitchell Marsh. Leg spinner length ball, outside off stump on the front foot Scoop, in the air under control to third man for 2 runs, fielded by Afridi.

5.6: Faheem Ashraf to Aaron Finch. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, to cover for no runs, shy attempt by Zaman.

A tough powerplay for the tourists, only finding the boundary once from the bat. Leg byes is currently top-scorer with 11.

5.5: Faheem Ashraf to Mitchell Marsh. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot dropped, to short extra cover for 1 run, fielded by Ashraf.

5.4: Faheem Ashraf to Aaron Finch. Slower length ball, outside off stump on the front foot Steer, to short third man for 1 run, direct hit by Afridi.

5.3: Faheem Ashraf to Aaron Finch. Length ball, middle stump on the front foot working, hit pad past fine leg for 4 runs.

5.2: Faheem Ashraf to Mitchell Marsh. Length ball, off stump on the front foot flick, well timed to deep backward square leg for 3 runs, run save by Malik.

5.1: Faheem Ashraf to Mitchell Marsh. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, to cover for no runs, fielded by Zaman.

4.6: OUT! Caught. Imad Wasim to Chris Lynn. Stock length ball, down leg side on the front foot working, leading edge in the air uncontrolled to mid off, by Khan. Taken by a tumbling Shadab, the pressure has forced a false stroke by Lynn. Imad changes this up by bowling a genuine spinning delivery and it grips to take the batsman by surprise. Pakistan have an impressive strangle-hold over the Aussie batsmen at the moment.

4.5: Imad Wasim to Chris Lynn. Arm length ball, to leg on the front foot sweeping, to short fine leg for no runs, fielded by Ali.

4.5: Wide Imad Wasim to Chris Lynn. Arm length ball, down leg side on the front foot sweeping, Play and Miss (Leg Side) to wicketkeeper for 1 run, fielded by Ahmed.

4.4: Imad Wasim to Chris Lynn. Arm length ball, down leg side on the front foot working, to short mid wicket for no runs, fielded by Azam.

4.1: Imad Wasim to Chris Lynn. Arm length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, to extra cover for no runs, run save by Khan.

3.6: Faheem Ashraf to Chris Lynn. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot dropped, to short extra cover for 1 run, shy attempt by Zaman.

3.5: Faheem Ashraf to Chris Lynn. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot defending, to extra cover for no runs, fielded by Wasim.

3.4: SIX! Faheem Ashraf to Chris Lynn. Length ball, off stump on the front foot driving, well timed in the air under control for 6 runs. Wow, what a way to break the shackles. Lynn just plants his front foot down the pitch, keeps his head low and swings cleanly through the ball to send it into the top-tier. Brutal hitting.

3.3: Faheem Ashraf to Chris Lynn. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, to extra cover for no runs, fielded by Wasim.

3.2: Faheem Ashraf to Chris Lynn. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, to short extra cover for no runs, fielded by Wasim.

3.1: Faheem Ashraf to Chris Lynn. Seaming away length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, missed to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by Ahmed.

2.6: OUT! Run Out. Imad Wasim to Aaron Finch. Arm ball half volley, middle stump on the front foot driving, back to bowler, direct hit by Wasim. Powerfully struck by Finch back at the bowler who manages to deflect the ball onto the stumps at the non-striker's end. Did Short get his bat down in time? He looks confident but replays suggest his bat is just in the air by the tiniest amount possible. The third umpire gives him out but Australia aren't happy at all, Finch is seething. Drama in Dubai.

2.5: Imad Wasim to D'Arcy Short. Arm length ball, down leg side on the front foot flick, hit pad to short extra cover for 1 run, fielded by Zaman.

0.1: NEW BALL. Imad Wasim to D'Arcy Short. Arm length ball, middle stump on the front foot driving, to mid off for no runs, fielded by Malik.

19.6: Andrew Tye to Faheem Ashraf. Length ball, down leg side on the back foot pulling, hit pad to backward point for 1 run, fielded by Zampa.

Some late hitting from Faheem Ashraf has boosted Pakistan to a healthy looking total. That innings followed a very similar pattern to the one in Abu Dhabi the other night, with Babar Azam and Mohammad Hafeez once again forming a handy partnership. Nathan Coulter-Nile struck back with two wickets in two balls, but that last over hitting has made a big difference.

19.5: SIX! Andrew Tye to Faheem Ashraf. Length ball, down leg side on the front foot Slog, well timed in the air under control over long on for 6 runs. This is the flourish Pakistan have been looking for. It's a rare quick ball from Tye and right in the slot for the left-hander to muscle it over wide long on.

19.4: Andrew Tye to Imad Wasim. Slower length ball, middle stump on the front foot Slog, inside edge to square leg for 1 run, fielded by Tye.

19.3: Andrew Tye to Faheem Ashraf. Back of a length, down leg side on the back foot pulling, in the air under control to deep mid wicket for 1 run, fielded by Maxwell.

19.2: Andrew Tye to Faheem Ashraf. Length ball, down leg side on the front foot flick, in the air under control to deep square leg for 2 runs, fielded by Maxwell.

19.1: FOUR! Andrew Tye to Faheem Ashraf. Slower ball short, down leg side on the back foot hooking, well timed in the air under control past fine leg for 4 runs. Too short, it sticks in the pitch allowing Faheem to pick his spot.

18.6: Nathan Coulter-Nile to Faheem Ashraf. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, to mid wicket for 1 run, fielded by Maxwell.

18.5: OUT! Caught. Nathan Coulter-Nile to Hasan Ali. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to long off, by Marsh. Hasan Ali, on the back of his cameo on Wednesday night, is promoted up the order but it doesn't have the impact Pakistan wanted. He looks to clear the ropes first ball but Marsh takes an incredible catch over his shoulder. He spilled it at the first attempt but then snatched it from the air with one hand.

18.4: OUT! Caught. Nathan Coulter-Nile to Shoaib Malik. Off cutter half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to mid off, by Marsh. Easily gobbled up by Marsh, Australia continue to chip away and prevent Pakistan from launching in these death overs. Malik was looking to clear mid off but had to stretch for it, meaning it spooned straight to the man. Delight for the Aussies.

18.3: APPEAL! Nathan Coulter-Nile to Faheem Ashraf. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot Slog, hit pad to silly point for 1 run, fielded by Tye, appeal made for L.B.W.

18.2: Nathan Coulter-Nile to Shoaib Malik. Slower ball back of a length, off stump backing away pulling, to deep square leg for 1 run, fielded by McDermott.

18.1: Nathan Coulter-Nile to Faheem Ashraf. Slower ball back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, to fine leg for 1 run, fielded by Short.

17.6: Andrew Tye to Shoaib Malik. Slower length ball, wide outside off stump on the front foot driving, in the air under control to deep cover for 2 runs, fielded by McDermott.

17.5: Andrew Tye to Faheem Ashraf. Slower ball back of a length, down leg side on the back foot pulling, to deep backward square leg for 1 run, fielded by McDermott.

17.5: Wide Andrew Tye to Faheem Ashraf. Length ball, down leg side on the front foot glancing, Play and Miss (Leg Side) to wicketkeeper for 1 run, fielded by Carey.

17.4: Andrew Tye to Shoaib Malik. Half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, to deep point for 1 run, fielded by McDermott.

17.3: Andrew Tye to Faheem Ashraf. Slower ball short, down leg side on the back foot pulling, to short fine leg for 1 run, fielded by Lynn.

17.2: Andrew Tye to Shoaib Malik. Slower ball back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot cutting, to point for 1 run, fielded by Zampa.

17.1: FOUR! Andrew Tye to Shoaib Malik. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot glancing, well timed past fine leg for 4 runs. Tickled fine, that's a delicate little stroke by Malik to bring his first boundary.

16.6: OUT! Caught. Billy Stanlake to Asif Ali. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to deep cover, by Short. Asif Ali's brief cameo comes to an end. He looked determined to smash some life into this innings but that approach is always a risky one. This slices much squarer than he was intending to find the safe hands of Short who takes his second catch of the night.

16.5: Billy Stanlake to Shoaib Malik. Slower ball back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot working, inside edge to silly point for 1 run, fielded by Carey.

16.4: Billy Stanlake to Asif Ali. Slower ball short, outside off stump on the back foot hooking, to deep square leg for 1 run, fielded by McDermott.

16.3: SIX! Billy Stanlake to Asif Ali. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, well timed in the air under control over long on for 6 runs. Boom, that's an outrageous shot that sails at least 20 rows back into the crowd. Asif went deep in his crease to create the desired length and then swung at it as hard as he could.

16.2: Billy Stanlake to Shoaib Malik. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot Steer, to third man for 1 run, fielded by Zampa.

16.1: Billy Stanlake to Asif Ali. Slower length ball, outside off stump on the back foot working, to mid on for 1 run, fielded by Finch.

15.6: D'Arcy Short to Asif Ali. Chinaman full toss, to leg on the front foot working, to long on for 1 run, fielded by Coulter-Nile.

15.5: D'Arcy Short to Asif Ali. Chinaman half volley, middle stump on the front foot working, inside edge to short extra cover for no runs, fielded by Marsh.

15.4: OUT! Caught. D'Arcy Short to Babar Azam. Googly half volley, middle stump on the front foot driving, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to long off, by Finch. Expertly taken on the rope, Finch had to get his feet positioned perfectly to clutch it with both hands above his head. Short sends down the googly which causes this to skew off the outer half of the blade and his skipper completes the job. Great time for Australia to take a wicket with Pakistan meandering through these middle overs.

15.3: D'Arcy Short to Babar Azam. Quicker ball back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot, Left to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by Carey.

15.2: D'Arcy Short to Shoaib Malik. Chinaman length ball, down leg side on the front foot working, to mid wicket for 1 run, fielded by Maxwell.

15.1: D'Arcy Short to Babar Azam. Googly half volley, middle stump on the front foot driving, thick edge to short third man for 1 run, fielded by Lynn.

14.6: Adam Zampa to Babar Azam. Leg spinner length ball, off stump on the front foot pushing, to short extra cover for 1 run, fielded by Finch.

14.5: Adam Zampa to Shoaib Malik. Leg spinner length ball, middle stump on the front foot pushing, to extra cover for 1 run, fielded by Finch.

14.4: Adam Zampa to Babar Azam. Leg spinner full toss, off stump down the track driving, to deep cover for 1 run, fielded by Short.

14.3: Adam Zampa to Shoaib Malik. Leg spinner half volley, down leg side on the front foot working, to deep mid wicket for 1 run, fielded by Maxwell.

14.2: Adam Zampa to Shoaib Malik. Leg spinner length ball, off stump on the back foot driving, to short extra cover for no runs, fielded by Finch.

14.1: Adam Zampa to Babar Azam. Leg spinner length ball, middle stump on the back foot working, hit pad to short third man for 1 run, fielded by Lynn.

13.6: OUT! Caught. Billy Stanlake to Mohammad Hafeez. Short, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, in the air uncontrolled to deep backward square leg, by Short. Straight to the man in the deep, Short didn't have to move an inch. Hafeez got hold of it pretty nicely but couldn't place it where he wanted. A couple of metres either side and that would've been a boundary.

13.5: Billy Stanlake to Mohammad Hafeez. Slower ball back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot cutting, missed to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by Carey.

13.4: SIX! Billy Stanlake to Mohammad Hafeez. Length ball, outside off stump moves in front flick, well timed in the air under control over deep backward square leg for 6 runs, dropped catch by Short. Nonchalant destruction from Hafeez, stepping across and whipping this over the legside. Short manages to get a hand on it right on the rope but can't keep the ball in play.

13.3: Billy Stanlake to Babar Azam. Length ball, off stump on the front foot working, to square leg for 1 run, fielded by Maxwell.

13.2: Billy Stanlake to Babar Azam. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot Late Cut, to third man for 2 runs, fielded by Zampa.

12.5: Adam Zampa to Babar Azam. Slider length ball, outside off stump down the track pushing, back to bowler for no runs, fielded by Zampa.

12.4: Adam Zampa to Babar Azam. Leg spinner length ball, outside off stump on the back foot cutting, missed to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by Carey.

12.3: Adam Zampa to Mohammad Hafeez. Leg spinner length ball, wide outside off stump on the front foot driving, to long off for 1 run, fielded by Coulter-Nile.

11.5: Andrew Tye to Babar Azam. Short, outside off stump down the track cutting, to deep cover for 1 run, fielded by McDermott.

11.4: Andrew Tye to Mohammad Hafeez. Slower length ball, outside off stump on the front foot working, to mid on for 1 run, fielded by Maxwell.

11.3: Andrew Tye to Babar Azam. Slower ball back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, to deep square leg for 1 run, fielded by Short.

11.2: Andrew Tye to Mohammad Hafeez. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot Steer, to third man for 1 run, fielded by Stanlake.

11.1: FOUR! Andrew Tye to Mohammad Hafeez. Off cutter back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, well timed past fine leg for 4 runs. Releases the pressure with a swivelled pull.

10.6: D'Arcy Short to Mohammad Hafeez. Slider length ball, to leg on the front foot working, to deep mid wicket for 1 run, fielded by Maxwell. Pressure building on Pakistan, they haven't found the boundary for a few overs now. Australia keeping it very tight.

10.5: D'Arcy Short to Babar Azam. Googly half volley, to leg on the front foot driving, to long on for 1 run, fielded by Tye.

10.4: D'Arcy Short to Babar Azam. Chinaman length ball, to leg down the track flick, in the air under control to long on for 2 runs, run save by Tye, fielded by Maxwell.

10.3: D'Arcy Short to Babar Azam. Googly length ball, to leg on the back foot working, to mid wicket for 2 runs, shy attempt by Maxwell.

10.2: D'Arcy Short to Mohammad Hafeez. Chinaman back of a length, to leg on the back foot pulling, to deep backward square leg for 1 run, fielded by McDermott.

10.1: D'Arcy Short to Babar Azam. Chinaman length ball, middle stump down the track driving, to long off for 1 run, fielded by Marsh.

9.6: Adam Zampa to Babar Azam. Leg spinner half volley, to leg on the front foot working, to mid wicket for 1 run, fielded by Maxwell.

9.5: Adam Zampa to Mohammad Hafeez. Leg spinner back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to long on for 1 run, dropped catch by Coulter-Nile. Hafeez skews one into the deep but Coulter-Nile can't cling on. It was a tough chance diving forward but it popped out.

9.4: Adam Zampa to Babar Azam. Leg spinner back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot cutting, to deep point for 1 run, fielded by Tye.

9.3: Adam Zampa to Mohammad Hafeez. Leg spinner length ball, outside off stump on the back foot pushing, to cover for 1 run, fielded by Finch.

7.4: Adam Zampa to Babar Azam. Leg spinner length ball, middle stump on the back foot pulling, to mid wicket for 1 run, fielded by Maxwell.

7.2: Adam Zampa to Mohammad Hafeez. Leg spinner half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, to extra cover for no runs, fielded by Finch.

7.1: SIX! Adam Zampa to Mohammad Hafeez. Leg spinner length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, well timed in the air under control over long off for 6 runs. Utter contempt shown to the leggie first up, Hafeez just waltzes down and spanks him into the stands.

6.6: Mitchell Marsh to Babar Azam. Slower length ball, off stump on the front foot working, to short mid wicket for no runs, fielded by Maxwell.

6.5: Mitchell Marsh to Babar Azam. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, back to bowler for no runs, fielded by Marsh.

6.4: Mitchell Marsh to Babar Azam. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot working, to mid wicket for no runs, shy attempt by Maxwell. Outstanding fielding by Maxwell almost creates a wicket out of nothing. Hafeez was sleeping at the non-striker's end.

6.3: Mitchell Marsh to Mohammad Hafeez. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot Late Cut, to third man for 1 run, fielded by Zampa.

6.2: FOUR! Mitchell Marsh to Mohammad Hafeez. Length ball, off stump on the front foot sweeping, past fine leg for 4 runs, mis-fielded by Stanlake. Cheeky improvisation by Hafeez and he beats the tame effort at short fine leg. Marsh wasn't too impressed with the fielding there.

6.1: Mitchell Marsh to Mohammad Hafeez. Length ball, outside off stump on the back foot pushing, to extra cover for no runs, fielded by Lynn.

5.6: Andrew Tye to Mohammad Hafeez. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, to deep square leg for 1 run, fielded by Short.

A solid powerplay from Pakistan but Australia haven't allowed them to hit too many boundaries. Evenly poised at the moment.

5.3: Wide Andrew Tye to Mohammad Hafeez. Short, off stump on the back foot, Left to wicketkeeper for 1 run, fielded by Carey.

5.2: Andrew Tye to Mohammad Hafeez. Slower ball back of a length, outside off stump down the track flick, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to long on for 2 runs, fielded by Coulter-Nile.

4.6: Billy Stanlake to Mohammad Hafeez. Length ball, outside off stump no foot movement pushing, missed to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by Carey.

4.5: FOUR! Billy Stanlake to Mohammad Hafeez. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, well timed in the air under control past deep square leg for 4 runs. Clobbered, Stanlake didn't get that one short enough so it was a lovely height to play a cross-batted swat. Hafeez has his first boundary of the evening.

4.4: Billy Stanlake to Babar Azam. Short, outside off stump on the back foot cutting, in the air under control to third man for 1 run, fielded by Zampa.

4.3: FOUR! Billy Stanlake to Babar Azam. Length ball, outside off stump on the back foot driving, well timed past deep backward point for 4 runs. Sublime timing, Babar just allows the ball to come to him and opens the face at the last moment to use Stanlake's pace to his advantage.

4.2: Billy Stanlake to Mohammad Hafeez. Length ball, middle stump on the front foot flick, hit pad to fine leg for 1 run, fielded by Lynn.

4.1: Billy Stanlake to Babar Azam. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot pushing, to mid on for 1 run, fielded by Finch.

3.6: Nathan Coulter-Nile to Mohammad Hafeez. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot defending, back to bowler for no runs, fielded by Coulter-Nile.

3.5: OUT! Caught. NOT OUT changed by umpire to OUT after REFERRAL. Nathan Coulter-Nile to Fakhar Zaman. Short, outside off stump backing away pulling, top edge to wicketkeeper, by Carey. Confident appeal but the umpire shakes his head, Finch has a chat to keeper and bowler before deciding to review. There is a clear spike on UltraEdge so this will be overturned. The short pitched plan against Fakhar has paid off, he never looked comfortable on the back foot. Excellent review by the Aussies to get the breakthrough.

3.4: Nathan Coulter-Nile to Babar Azam. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot working, to deep backward square leg for 1 run, fielded by Short.

3.3: Nathan Coulter-Nile to Fakhar Zaman. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, to mid off for 1 run, shy attempt by Tye.

3.1: FOUR! Nathan Coulter-Nile to Babar Azam. Short, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, well timed past deep backward square leg for 4 runs. Superb placement, rolling the wrists to get it behind square and evade the fielder in the deep.

2.6: Billy Stanlake to Babar Azam. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot Steer, to third man for 1 run, fielded by Zampa.

2.5: APPEAL! Billy Stanlake to Fakhar Zaman. Length ball, down leg side on the front foot flick, hit pad to backward point for 1 run, shy attempt by Maxwell, appeal made for L.B.W. Hopeful appeal but that pitched well outside the line of leg stump.

2.4: Billy Stanlake to Babar Azam. Length ball, off stump on the front foot flick, to deep square leg for 1 run, fielded by McDermott.

2.3: Billy Stanlake to Babar Azam. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, to short extra cover for no runs, fielded by Finch.

2.2: Billy Stanlake to Fakhar Zaman. Half volley, off stump on the front foot driving, to extra cover for 1 run, fielded by Marsh.

2.1: FOUR! Billy Stanlake to Fakhar Zaman. Length ball, middle stump on the front foot Slog, inside edge past fine leg for 4 runs. Fortune favours Fakhar here as he aims a filthy swipe to leg and the inside edge narrowly misses leg stump. Frustration for Stanlake.

1.6: Nathan Coulter-Nile to Fakhar Zaman. Length ball, down leg side on the front foot working, to leg gully for 1 run, fielded by Lynn.

1.5: Nathan Coulter-Nile to Fakhar Zaman. Short, down leg side on the back foot pulling, Gloved to silly mid off for no runs, fielded by Marsh.

1.4: Nathan Coulter-Nile to Fakhar Zaman. Seaming away length ball, middle stump no foot movement driving, missed to wicketkeeper for no runs, fielded by Carey.

1.1: FOUR! Nathan Coulter-Nile to Babar Azam. Out-swinging half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, well timed past deep cover for 4 runs. A hint of gentle swing for Coulter-Nile but Babar just watches it onto the middle of his blade. The crowd roars into life with the first boundary of the night.

0.6: Glenn Maxwell to Fakhar Zaman. Off break length ball, outside off stump down the track driving, in the air under control to long off for 2 runs, fielded by Finch.

0.5: Glenn Maxwell to Babar Azam. Off break length ball, down leg side on the back foot working, to short fine leg for 1 run, fielded by Stanlake.

0.5: Wide Glenn Maxwell to Babar Azam. Off break length ball, down leg side on the front foot working, Play and Miss (Leg Side) to wicketkeeper for 1 run, fielded by Carey.

0.4: Glenn Maxwell to Babar Azam. Off break length ball, to leg on the front foot working, to mid wicket for no runs, fielded by Marsh.

0.3: Glenn Maxwell to Fakhar Zaman. Off break length ball, to leg on the front foot sweeping, hit pad to leg gully for 1 run, shy attempt by Carey. Confusion in the running, both batsmen are in the middle of the pitch but Carey can't hit the target. The wicketkeeper had more time than he thought there, perhaps he could have taken an extra second to set himself before releasing the throw.

0.2: Glenn Maxwell to Fakhar Zaman. Off break half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, to cover for no runs, fielded by Short.

0.1: NEW BALL. Glenn Maxwell to Babar Azam. Off break length ball, off stump on the front foot working, to mid on for 1 run, fielded by Coulter-Nile.
